I can see clearly now the fog is gone
As I remember back to my time in college, I remember a very specific instance during an opera production. My dear friend was playing the part of a mosquito, which was extremely humorous because of his size… At one point in the opera, he is supposed to run away from a frog, which was played by a very small boy. My friend added his own…flamboyant…touch to this act. As he spectacularly swirled himself and his cape around, his enormous clod hoppers were swept out from under him, causing him to face plant, making a colossal crash, which shook the entire stage, and breaking his long mosquito nose.
Too bad my own grasshopper goggles were so fogged up that I could barely see in front of me and I missed the whole thing. If only my director had bought some Wildcat™ Safety Goggles (Clear/Anti-Fog Lens) for my costume. Between the open-close side vents, heat resistant material, and facial contour adjustments, those would have been much more enjoyable to wear for an ENTIRE opera performance.
